The Vice Chancellor of Islamia University Bahawalpur said that University has established 2.5 megawatt solar power plant to meet the energy needs of the university.

Over seven billion Pakistani rupees are being spent on the completion of different developmental and educational projects in Islamia University during the current financial year.

This was stated by Vice Chancellor Islamia University, Bahawalpur Engineer Prof Dr Athar Mahboob while talking with Radio Pakistan Lahore Representative Sajjad Parvez in a programme “Lahore Insight”.

He said that in order to provide quality education to students at their door steps, two new sub-campuses of the university are being established in Ahmed Pur East and Liaquat Pur.
