Earn upto $20,000 per Month by Playing Games
According to claims, gamers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can make up to $20,000 (AED 73,462 and Rs.4,851,096) per month. They do it through sponsorship, live broadcasting, and social media marketing.
Bashar Mohammed Khair Al Kayal is a well-known gamer and YouTuber from the UAE. He has more than 100,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok in addition to his estimated 1.41 million subscribers on YouTube.
Bashar, an Abu Dhabi University graduate in civil engineering, began playing video games at the age of 5. He often makes between $15,000 and $20,000 a month from gaming and an additional $3,000 from YouTube live-streaming.
Since the pandemic, gamers have begun to make good money. On Twitch, even small-scale gamers can make between $50 and $1,000 a month. This more than they would in a typical job.
In an interview with Gulf News, Bashar said that since his graduation in2020, he has continued to play video games full-time instead of pursuing a profession as a civil engineer.
Peerless, another Emirati player, has 269,000 subscribers and has been playing for more than 4 years. He receives sponsorship from numerous well-known computer companies, like BenQ, Asus, and others, and makes about $5,000 every month.
Mohammed Saud Al-Tamimi, the governor of Saudi Arabia’s Communications and Information Technology Commission, asserted that almost 89% of the Saudi population is a gamer in relation to the popularity of gaming in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia.
By2030, the gaming industry’s contribution to the Kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP) will have multiplied by 50.
Manish Bakshi is the managing director (MD) of BenQ Middle East and Turkey. He asserted that a number of variables, including a player’s skill level, the game they play, and the company or organisations they represent, influence their income. Geekay, a website for gaming gear and events with a presence in Dubai, is one such instance, he continued.
Additionally, Dubai Internet City Free Zone anticipated that it would create domestic gaming studios as part of a $100 million funding programme.
Pakistani youth can also earn upto $20,000 per month by playing games.
