How to change WiFi Password

You can connect your devices to the internet using a Wi-Fi network instead of hefty ethernet cords. You will need a Wi-Fi password nevertheless in order to safeguard your internet connection.

Your Wi-Fi network is open to anyone who has a password. This implies that outsiders may monopolise the network, slowing down your internet. In the worst instance, they might even infect your devices with malware and steal confidential data. You should alter the default password on your Wi-Fi router to avoid this.

Although it will require you to log into your router’s setup page, doing this is easier than it would seem. You may even modify your Wi-Fi name while you’re at it.

You’ve come to the right site if you’re looking for information on changing the PTCL WiFi password. The largest internet service provider in Pakistan is PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited). Although there are various alternative internet service providers, PTCL broadband services are the most popular. People want to change their Wi-Fi password after installing a new Wi-Fi modem. It is preferable to change your PTCL Wi-Fi password after installation due to potential privacy concerns.

You must follow a few steps if you want to learn how to change WiFi password (PTCL). The following are the steps to changing the PTCL Wi-Fi password:

1. Open your browser

You must first launch your regular web browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Opera.

2.   Type IP address in Search Bar

Your Web browser will have a search bar at the top when you first launch it. Enter your IP address in the search bar there. The IP address for all PTCL broadband customers is 192.168.1.1. The IP address for certain PTCL broadband users is 192.168.10.1 (new modem users).

3.   Enter Modem Username and Password

You will see a dialogue box with the following text when you press Enter: “The 192.168.1.1 server is requesting your username and password. According to the server, it is coming from the DSL Router.

You must enter your PTCL modem’s login and password. Most of the time, “admin” is both the default username and password. If the PTCL Broadband modem’s username and password are not “admin,” you can find them on the device’s back or on the modem box.

4.   Entering PTCL Admin Panel

You will see an admin panel after entering the PTCL modem’s username and password. You may view every configuration for your PTCL modem from this admin panel. You may find Wireless in the list of options on the admin panel’s left side.

Click on “Wireless:

5. Click on Security

You must select Security from the list of choices. A completed form can be seen on the right side of the admin panel when you select security. When you reach the bottom of this form, scroll down and you’ll notice a WPA/WAPI passphrase bar option.

6. Set a New Password

Change your WiFi password by clicking the WPA/WAPI passphrase bar option when it appears. Once you’ve clicked it, type in the “new password” you desire. At the bottom of this form, you will see the Apply button. To change the password for your PTCL Wi-Fi, click “Apply.”

Your PTCL Wi-Fi router will restart once you click “apply,” and your new PTCL Wi-Fi password will be updated immediately. If you want to connect to PTCL Wi-Fi, you must enter a new password on your device. You can update your Wi-Fi password whenever you wish by following these steps. You can quickly alter your Wi-Fi using the above-mentioned techniques whenever you feel like someone is utilising it.
