Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam in a recent interview with Inzamam-ul-Haq mentioned the difficulties encountered in the beginning of his career.
During the interview, former national team captain Inzamam-ul-Haq asked Babar about a story which Babar explained that when I was first selected in U-19, I needed shoes.
“I told my cousin to give it to me if he had joggers,” he said, to which he refused, saying “I don’t have any.”
Babar Azam said that at that time I was very disappointed and realized that I should not have said this, I should not have asked for shoes.
The national team captain added that the incident taught him to be capable and take everything for himself. I decided that what I have to take now is to take it myself and earn it.
Father’s reaction to Babar’s viral clip
When the clip of the interview of national captain Babar Azam went viral, his father Azam Siddique shared the post on Instagram and clarified the meaning of his son’s interview.
He wrote that incident of Babar Azam’s cousins refusing to give him joggers is being blown out of proportion. A child may have asked for it and cousins too may not have them or given him, Its OK, It is not a big deal. But Yes, what Babar said about self reliance is true.
