Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari bluntly rejected the announcement made by the chairman of PTI Imran Khan of resigning of PTI from all Pakistan Assemblies. Bilawal predicts that Imran Khan will not resign from the assemblies. According to Bilawal Bhutto, this is also one of the lies of the Khan.
In the ceremony to mark the PPP’s 55th foundation day in Karachi on Wednesday, Bilawal Bhutto said “Yeh bhi jhoot hai, yeh bhi dhoka hai,” which translate to “this also a lie, this is also a deception.”
Bhutto also reminded the audience of the similar time when Khan resigned from the National Assembly and later reached the courts when the by-elections were about to be held. Khan urged the court not to accept the resignations. He held that the resignations were just a political stunt. So, Bhutto predicts that Khan is going to do the same and this announcement is also a political stunt.
Further, he called the PTI’s long march a “big failure” and criticized the Khan from running away just like he did during the no-confidence motion. He called out the Khan that if the latter wants to resign, he must resign instantly, and PPP is ready to compete with PTI.
Moreover, he also made mention of the recent development in the army. Army has decided to take a neutral stance and step back from the politics. So Bhutto pointed out at Khan that since army is neutral now, Khan is worried over how to come in power again. He called the Khan a “selected” and “puppet” politician.
Bhutto further added that the nation may only forgive Imran Khan is the latter stops his conspiracies against the democracy of Pakistan.
Therefore, the political crisis in Pakistan continues to grow as the tensions between the PTI chairperson and the coalition government do not seem to come to a halt.
